2 days

Wherever you are in the Zulu Kingdom you are no more than 3 hours from Africa’s iconic Big 5. That’s where we’re headed but not before we make a few experiential stops. The next 2 days are not just about land rovers and game drives, it’s also about the sheer diversity of nature.

The only thing better than starring out over the sea is taking a microlight flight over the Indian Ocean as the dolphins frolic below. Make the journey north where you’re about to meet some of the most intrepid horses this side of the equator. Saddle up for a 1 hour horseback safari through the iSimangaliso Wetlands. Did you know hippopotamus roam the streets out here? Your final activity for the day takes you to the estuary surrounding St Lucia which is home to several pods of hippopotamus and a good few crocodiles. Jump aboard for a leisurely yet exciting boat cruise (2 hour).

Bright and early the following day your ranger will whisk you away into the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve [2nd oldest on the planet]. Enjoy a 6 hour game drive tracking Africa’s iconic Big 5 animals + other species such as giraffe, cheetah, wild dogs and more. Tuck into lunch before heading back to Durban.
