In the late afternoon we make into the remote town of Mokhotlong, where we spend the night atop the Roof of Africa.
The next morning you will meet your guide after a hearty breakfast to choose your activity for the morning – hiking or horse riding in the remote highlands of Lesotho – this area has been to referred as Roof of Africa route and the Kingdom in the Sky, which lends itself perfectly to these high mountain-scapes.
Enjoy a hearty lunch at the top in the Highest Pub in Africa before heading back down the pass.

About Mokhotlong
This village in Lesotho is a picturesque hour and a half drive from the Sani Pass Border Post. Mokhotlong started as a small police outpost in 1905 and over the years it developed into a remote trading hub for the people of the Highlands region. Since Mokhotlong is so remote, it was preserved from the development that other cities in Lesotho underwent. Mokhotlong gives tourists the opportunity to experience a truly traditional village in the ‘Kingdom in the Sky’.
